15- BL (II)

"Come on Zara, I know you can write the best BL," Aaradhya cheered, while Shreya clapped. "Yeahh."

"What are you doing?" Agastya asked, as he turned towards the girl. Zara hesitantly looked at the diary, while Aaradhya and Shreya shook their heads, laughing at him.

"We're just encouraging Zara, because she thinks that she can't do something and we're convincing her," Aaradhya said, as Zara looked into Agastya's eyes shyly.

"There's nothing she can't do. I think you should give it a try and when a bully like my sister is cheering for you, trust me it must be your hidden skill," Agastya said, when Zara burst into laughter. Aaradhya and Shreya, who well understood that Agastya has something for Zara, also started laughing.

"Why are you laughing, guys?" Agastya questioned, when the girls shook their heads in unison.

"He decided to lose his aura points just to impress her," Aaradhya went near Shreya, as she whispered in Shreya's ears.

"Jab khikhikhi khatam ho jaeye to kuch kha lena, I'm not your servant to get things for you," Agastya said, when Aaradhya pointed at the diary.

"Write Zaraa!" Aaradhya said, as she nodded.

"-okay so, Agastya and Anirudh stay in an apartment, as in a shared flat," Zara spoke, when the other two nodded. "As best friends, and likewise tease each other too."

"Noo, let's keep school tension," Aaradhya said, while Zara heard her attentively.

"Okay and then?" Zara asked, as she was chewing the back of the pen.

"And then Siddharth enters." Shreya said, excitedly, as the boys who are watching cricket now look at the girls.

"Huh?" Siddharth raised his eyebrows when Shreya shook her head.

"What's with this excitement, Shreya?" Zara asked politely when Shreya shrugged off.

"No, tell me what it is? It's about me, na?" Siddharth meddled, when Zara shook her head.

"It's about Siddharth Goswami. My school friend," Zara said.

"Huh, why? Is he coming here?" Siddharth asked, when Zara let out a frustrated sigh.

"Why do you want to know everything?" Zara asked, when Siddharth sat next to her.

"Bata na?" Siddharth asked, as Zara hid the diary and gave it to Aaradhya.

"He'll come in June," Zara said.

"How do you know?" Siddharth asked.

"Because he called me yesterday to share that," she said, shrugging off her shoulders.

"Best friends, no?" Siddharth teased, when Zara shyly slapped him.

Zara had friends when she was in her primary classes, and Siddharth was one of them. He was always a brother to Zara, but Sid never left a chance to tease her.

Anirudh went closer to Agastya, as he whispered in his ear. "Bhai, I told you she'll have some guy in her life. This is why she doesn't like you," Anirudh said, when Agastya raised his eyebrows.

"Huh?" Agastya asked, completely clueless.

"She has something- something in her life." Anirudh whispered, when Agastya shook her head.

"Shut up. Just because you don't like her, stop judging her" Agastya said, when Anirudh gave him a side eye.

"Says the one who still won't leave a single opportunity to tell me that I don't deserve Shreya" Anirudh taunted.

"I care for Shreya. She's like my sister" Agastya said.

"Likewise" Anirudh commented, when Agastya shook his head.

"For you, it's opposite. You just make Zara wrong." Agastya said, when Anirudh sighed and whispered back.

"You want to hear it right? I don't think you should see Zara as your anyone. I don't think that you two... ever will have a future. She can call you a friend, but I don't think that she considers you even that." Anirudh said. "You can have anyone else, but expectations... hurts. I don't want you to get attached to someone who won't give a fuck about you."

"Do you even know her?" Agastya questions.

"No," Anirudh said, when Agastya let a humourless chuckle of his mouth. "But I know you very well. I don't want you to suffer, you're already suffering due to many things" Anirudh said.

"Why do I feel gay today?" Agastya commented, as Anirudh almost threw him off the bed.

"Suar, saar phut jaata mera abhi" Agastya threw the pillow at his best friend, as he somehow balanced himself.

"Mote, kya bakwaas ki thi fir abhi tune?" Anirudh questions back, when both of them went quiet.

"Chup hi raha karo aise" Siddharth said, meddling in between two of them.

"Shut up, you three" Aaradhya said, when Siddharth mimicked her. Aaradhya— enraged by his behaviour, now stood up while Siddharth straight went to hide behind Anirudh.

"Dekh, dekh, kaise pakad raha vo usko" Zara teased Shreya, by elbowing her, when Siddharth was having a strong hand over Anirudh.

"Hit him, Aaru, do it on my behalf as well," Zara encouraged her, adding her support to Aaradhya's actions.

"Guys, let it be, and Aaru you're the one who started it all,I just don't understand what's your problem with him?" Agastya intervened.

"I don't even want to talk with this langur." Aaradhya said, as she sat down.

"Haan, as if I'm dying to talk with you. Laal naak vali emoji ki tarah dikhti ho bilkul hi" Siddharth commented when Aaradhya glared at him.

"Arre at least, laak naak vali emoji hu, tum to vo gu (shit) 💩 vli emoji hoti hai na, vaise dikhte ho"

"Tum mujhe mat batao mai kaisa dikhta hu, jaisa bhi hu, better than you" Siddharth said.

"Baat hi kyu karte ho mujhse? Do I even call you out?" Aaradhya asked, raising her frown.

"If this is thing, I won't talk to you... even if you call me out now" Siddharth said, as he rolled his eyes.

"As if I need you" Aaradhya said, storming back to her friends.

"Let's write the BL" Shreya mummers, her voice slow, almost like a whisper.

Zara started writing the story, a thought of reluctance constantly pressuring her to leave writing.

"Agastya will be the one who feels that he likes Anirudh" Zara wrote on the notebook, as the girls broke into laughter, reading only to get weird looks from the boys.

"Why're you laughing so hard?" Agastya asked, when the girls shook their heads, their grin never- ending.

The girls would break into laughter within a few minutes of silence— leaving the boys baffled.

Amused by them, the boys decided to grab the diary, and that's when the door creaked open. It was Shreya's mother, "kids have something." She asked, when the girls nodded to have the snacks while Anirudh opened the diary they left behind.

His eyes widened reading the first line of the paragraph.

"I love you, Anirudh, and I can't keep this friendship anymore, either it's you or no one" Agastya said, touching Anirudh's thighs.

It was the third-fourth page he immediately opened. Agastya grabbed the notebook from his hand, and opened the first page.

Agastya— a mysterious topper who was liked by many girls of his class, but he just never saw anyone. The reason? Him.

He loved his best friend, Anirudh, more than anything in the world. He'd those feelings for him, as if he was devoted... he never felt that peace ever, as much he found in Anirudh's sole presence.

It was a mere feeling for Agastya in childhood, but as he came to teenage...

Agastya shuts the diary and threw it on the been bag the girls were sitting on.

"What the fuck?" Agastya said, his face betraying his disgust.

"Guys, what happened, why're you so shocked?" Siddharth asked, picking the notebook, as he turned open the diary and started reading it a loud.

It was a mere feeling for Agastya in childhood, but as he came to teenage... the feelings developed. He started being confused, about his sexuality and suddenly, those mere feelings grew. Into something he never thought.

He started loving a guy. With his whole heart and passion.

Siddharth laughed pointing his finger at him, when Agastya and Anirudh stood weirdly quiet. Siddharth laughed so loud, as he started reading it again.

And this all wasn't enough when... he joined.

Siddharth, the transfer student.

Siddharth gasps reading his name, when he decided to close the diary but it was too late, Agastya, who was embarrassed till now thought to take the revenge. While Siddharth tried to keep the diary away, Anirudh and Agastya tried the hell out of them only to end up lying in an uncomfortable position on him.

The door creaked open, as the girls entered with plates in their hands only to look at the boys, when their eyes widened.

Aaradhya, who noticed the diary in their hand, kept a hand on her mouth. "Haww, are they taking ideas from the diary, what the fuck? We were still deciding if they'll do threesome or just two of them will have a happy ending"

"I think they already decided to have the second option reading the diary" Zara said, her mouth still open, she looked flabbergasted.

"You guys continue, we'll sit in another room" Shreya said, as the girls left the room, while the boys stood up.

"Fuvk!" Anirudh said. "My crush will think wrong about me"

"At least your sister is at home, my sister saw me and now Vamika di and she'll make a joke of me" Siddharth said, when Agastya nodded with him.

"Tera to fir bhi sahi hai yaar" Agastya said, keeping his hand on his nose. His sister and crush, both saw him, and now that Zara wasn't already talking to him, he'd given another reason to her.

"Vaise let's read what they've stored for Siddharth" Anirudh grinned as he took the diary and started reading.

Siddharth— the new transfer student who caught Anirudh's attention. He was always confused about his sexuality, until he got to know him.

Anirudh read, knowing well he'd shut up and Siddharth took the diary.

Agastya, was now insecure— the inseparable friendship between him and Anirudh now had a rift.

"What the fuck were they even writing?" Agastya commented, flabbergasted as Agastya's father himself came inside the room.

The three of them straightened themselves up, as his father demanded three of them outside.

"Agastya, try to be mature sometimes, you're 16 but still don't know how to act when the dinner is hosted at your place!" His father reprimanded him not even caring who was standing there.

Agastya lowered his head, when they walked out.

The hall was filled with laughter, the men were having whiskey while watching television while women sat in the other corner, their glasses were covered with napkins.

Some were on their phones, while others kept on talking. That's when the girls came out.

"I invited you all to meet my wife" Agastya's father said, when a lady enters. Agastya and Aaradhya kept on looking, when Zara's eyes found Agastya's— she heard from her parents that his mother died when he was merely 5-6 of age, so hell, she knew she was his dad's second wife.

Agastya kept on blinking his eyes, when his father announced that he'd re-marry in a few days.

****

The news was bizarre, but more for others, Ishita was sitting with her husband, Vamika was sitting and listening to them.

"Is it even an age to marry?" Ishita taunted, in the mocking way: Agastya's mother was Ishita's best friend, and more than anything, she was hurt— that her best friend was betrayed.

"Come'n Ishita, it's his life" Ritwik said, when Zara looked at her parents conflict. She just wanted everyone to sleep so that she'd go upstairs.

It's been a day or so since she went on the terrace, all because she was annoyed at him, but she knew he needed someone at that point of the life when she was breaking.
